…AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF DEAD: Entire New Album Available For Preview

November 11, 2006

…AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF DEAD's new album, "So Divided", is available for preview in its entirety on the band's MySpace.com page.

Due on November 14 via Interscope, "So Divided" was recorded with longtime collaborator and producer Mike McCarthy (SPOON, SOUND TEAM) at his studio in Texas in spring/summer this year and continues the band's dedication "to portraying a holistic and at times uncomfortably honest expression of the human experience," according to Sound Generator.

Featured on the new album — the follow-up to the progressive, dense "World's Apart" — are guitars, strings, timpani drums, acoustic guitars, piano, bass, slide guitar, keyboards, samplers, synthesizers, violins (played by Grammy winner Hilary Hahn) and backup vocals (by Amanda Palmer of the DRESDEN DOLLS). A cover of GUIDED BY VOICES' "Gold Heart Mountain Top Queen Directory" is also included.

…AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF DEAD are in the middle of a two-month tour of the U.S. with the BLOOD BROTHERS.
